ISSEP 2025

Welcome Message

Distinguished guests, esteemed scholars, dear attendees,

A gracious welcome to each one of you! With immense pleasure, I extend a warm greeting to you all on behalf of the School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, to the 12th International Seminar in Sport and Exercise Psychology (ISSEP 2025).

First and foremost, we express our heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished guests and participants. Your presence and unwavering support serve as the driving forces for the realisation of this conference on sport and exercise psychology. ISSEP 2025 is not just an international academic event; it signifies our unique gathering to the academic conferences and the revival of scholarly exchanges that predates the pandemic, marking a significant milestone.

The purpose of this conference transcends the mere provision of a platform for international research and exchange; it also encompasses our commitment to creating opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds. To achieve this, we have introduced a reduced registration fee, ensuring greater accessibility for a larger number of postgraduate students to participate. Additionally, both international and domestic graduate student participants will benefit from convenient accommodations and organised visits, ensuring their seamless integration into this conference.

ISSEP 2025 will feature a diverse range of thematic lecture sessions, compelling keynote speeches, and engaging invited talks. We are privileged to host esteemed scholars from South Korea, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Japan as our distinguished speakers. Additionally, scholars from Malaysia will be invited to share their research insights and provide a unique Malaysian perspective to our international attendees.

In our quest to foster diverse interactions and experiences, we invite submissions of research results, research proposals, and reviews, allowing faculty and postgraduate students to critically evaluate research plans from a design perspective. Furthermore, an innovative academic exchange session will offer scholars the opportunity to share their research published in international and domestic journals, promoting in-depth insights and fresh perspectives.

This conference will continue the tradition of showcasing cultural exchange experiences from various countries and the Asia-Pacific region through engaging interactive activities during the closing ceremony. These activities symbolize a mutually beneficial outcome, enriching academic discourse, promoting research sharing, enhancing student learning, and fostering cultural exchange.

Lastly, we urge you to save the date for ISSEP 2025 scheduled to take place from January 19th to January 22th, 2025, on the vibrant health campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kota Bharu. We eagerly anticipate your active participation in this vibrant academic event, where we will explore the latest advancements in the field of sport and exercise psychology while nurturing international academic collaboration and exchange. Your attendance will undoubtedly contribute to making ISSEP 2025 an unforgettable academic celebration. We are looking  forward to our meeting in Kota Bharu, Malaysia!
